Things to Come…

Just to whet your appetites, here is a quick look at topics I will write about on this blog in the next month or so:

Here’s a Champagne drink to hold you over:

Poire Vanilla

(served at Bookmarks Lounge, NYC)

1 oz. Boiron Pear Puree

3/4 oz. Navan Vanilla Liqueur

1/2 oz. Orchard Pear Liqueur

2 1/2 oz. Moet & Chandon Champagne

Directions:  Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir briefly to incorporate.  Then strain into chilled champagne flute and top off with extra splash of bubbly. 

Garnish: lime twist




  1. My wife isn’t a very big fan of champagne and I’ve found that adding a peach schnapps flavoring to the champagne makes it just the right sweetness to make her drink it.

    We’re a huge fan of pears, we’ve got three pear trees growing in the yard because we just can’t get enough. Perhaps now it’s time to try some pear in our champagne.

    • YES! Derrick please! Use those pears from your yard in your champagne! Sheesh wish I was lucky enough to have that in my yard. All I have is…well…I don’t have a yard.
