Just to whet your appetites, here is a quick look at topics I will write about on this blog in the next month or so:
1. Champagne Dreams (my trip to Champagne)
2. Finger Lakes Wine Trip (what does this have to do w/ cocktails, though? – oh, you’ll see)
3. Polish Hockey? (that’s right, folks)
AND there will be a new feature you’ll be able to access on this blog, too: VIDEO!
Here’s a Champagne drink to hold you over:
(served at Bookmarks Lounge, NYC)
1 oz. Boiron Pear Puree
3/4 oz. Navan Vanilla Liqueur
1/2 oz. Orchard Pear Liqueur
2 1/2 oz. Moet & Chandon Champagne
Directions: Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir briefly to incorporate. Then strain into chilled champagne flute and top off with extra splash of bubbly.
Garnish: lime twist
Thank you to all of those who signed up to receive my new newsletter. And thanks to those who’ve signed up and are now visiting my blog because of it.
I’ve been focusing on content for the newsletter, therefore you’ll find very few RECENT posts. Please, if this is your first time, peruse the content on my blog. There’s a fair amount to take in.
I’ve always been taught to keep politics and the bar as far apart as possible. But I just have to say: YES WE CAN!
You’ll notice in one of my posts I created an Obama cocktail that I serve at The World Bar. It’s still available there – so if you’re in the area, please stop by and order one. It will inspire you to do better, look further, and dream bigger (especially after 2 or 3 of them).
SIDEBAR: I’ll be in Europe next week, so stay tuned for a nice fancy new post when I return. Just to give you a little preview: CHAMPAGNE!
Then click here to receive my new newsletter. It’s very much in its infancy, but I plan on having it up and running within the next couple of weeks. Very exciting stuff. Should not be missed. Enjoy your day. Happy New Year.
